Designing a Platter to Display Food
For the 2025 Bocuse d'Or competition, I collaborated with Chef's Canada to fabricate a distinctive platter representing Canada, achieving 10th place worldwide. The project involved comprehensive CAD modeling to design the platter, followed by silicone molding to create prototypes. Material selection was critical to ensure both aesthetics and functionality, with careful consideration given to durability and finish. I also participated in multiple project meetings to communicate ideas and refine designs based on client feedback. The fabrication process included precise laser cutting and plastic manufacturing techniques, ensuring the final piece was both visually striking and representative of Canada's culinary heritage.
